The Smutje consists of the actual shelf and the associated holder.
The shelf can be easily removed from the holder, even when the roof is closed. So you can take the Smutje outside for a barbecue. Inside, bungee cords ensure that nothing slips and a felt floor prevents annoying rattling while driving. A paper towel can be hung underneath the shelf. The elastic ensures that it is always pressed against the bottom of the shelf so that it cannot unroll unhindered. The aluminum body is covered with a durable Oxford fabric. The Smutje is closed with magnetic closures so that nothing can bang out at the front.
The shelf holder is extremely reserved and has no sharp metal edges, all corners have been rounded. EPDM buffers protect the VAN from scratches and ensure that the shelf cannot slip even when the roof is open.
