BasicVARIO
BasicVARIO- the first window bag with variable depth
The BasicVario is characterized by its variable depth. A circumferential zipper make it possible to adjust the bag from 100mm depth (approx. 16l) to 150mm (approx. 24l). This means that the bag fits perfectly next to the 2-seater bench (Ocean / Coast / Beach.
With a depth of 150mm, the loading volume corresponds to the BasicONE.
Variable interior floor:
However, the Vario can do even more. The middle base grows from 100mm to 150mm and can even be removed completely if necessary, so that a large bag without an inner base is available. This gives you even more options for your stuff.
Two elastic bands on the front of the bag prevent items from falling out.
Two vario pockets give you more space for your mattress. For example, you can hang two Varios on either side in the direction of the back door and thus no longer have any problems with leading the sleeping pads and mattresses past the bags.
Details on the bag
We’ve opted to use a tear-resistant synthetic fibre for the outer material, inserting a layer of insulation behind to make the bag firmer and sturdier. This was inspired by a process used in medical technology where a layer of insulation is used as a kind of shock absorber for sensitive equipment.
We made the conscious decision to avoid using cardboard for this purpose, so that the bag remains in shape even in wet conditions and when put under high strain. The interior is lined with 1mm PE (polyethylene), which makes the bag more hard-wearing and protects it against getting dirty. The PE is attached with screws rather than rivets, so it can always be taken out and cleaned.
As for the zippers, we’ve used YKK, the best of the best.
